Did you know that February is National Bird-Feeding month? How about Adopt a Rescued Rabbit month? This month starts off with Solo Diners Eat Out Week, although I sort of thought that was every week, for me it is! In the second week of February, many people celebrate Just Say No to Powerpoint week, do you? During the third week, my personal favourite, Jello week!!! I know what I’ll be eating that week!!! And of course, during the last week, it is Texas Cowboy Poetry week, how exciting that must be! Oh and how could I forget, February 14th, the official National Call In Single Day!
So the theme for February is one that I have been wanting to do ever since the first swap. It keeps coming up so this must be the one! You must create something (art, quilt, craft, story, etc) that relates to a favourite song. Any song will do (preferably one found on YouTube so that we can hear it), so if you want to make something for that special Feb. 14th holiday, pick a romantic song and go crazy!!! If you want to celebrate Texas Cowboy Poetry week, find some country song with a dead dog, the wife left and the truck broke down! Go crazy!!!
Once again this will be a challenge so no swapping needed! Have fun and please post videos of your inspiration song(s) and pictures of what you are up to! In progress pics are welcome too!

My first project for the challenge
Don't worry, I haven't started yet! But I am thinking that since I have an idea and am posting about it that must mean that I'm winning. Yep, I definitely think that's what it means! I'm #1!!!
Anyway, my idea is one that I have had for over a year now. Last year I made a little girl a chenille blanket and had a blast doing it. So I thought it might be cute to make one her dolls a little matching chenille quilt out of fat quarters! I know I have some flannel fat quarters and I might use up some of my scraps with kids stuff on it. All these pillowcase scraps can go to use!!! Anyway I am thinking of starting with that. You all better start thinking of ideas because otherwise...I WIN!!!

It's not going to be a swap but a...
I honestly can't remember the word I am looking for! Anyway, here's my idea:
Everyone makes something inspired by a doll. They could make a doll, a doll quilt, a painting of a doll, a story about a doll, it could be anything!
There won't be a swap this time. People will post pictures of their creation (hopefully as they create it) and (I just remembered the word I was looking for: CHALLENGE! Wow, I must be tired.) tell us all about their craft/art as they do it. If you are worried about posting stuff, I can help with that!! We could even have an open vote at the end to see which creation is the best, the most interesting, the most creative, the craziest, etc!!!
I hope you will play! It will take place in January 2012!! Start thinking about dolls!!
